Investment Thesis

Corporate bonds finally pay again, and USIG is the cheapest complete way to own the asset class — every investment-grade maturity, every sector, at a fee so low it rounds to nothing. Against LQD it adds the short and long tails of the curve for a third of the cost. The near-5% yield carries the fund; the credit spread is the risk you're paid for.

Who It's For

Income investors stepping out of Treasuries for extra yield without leaving investment grade, and portfolio builders wanting one corporate-bond building block beside a Treasury fund. Monthly payer.
