Overview
Inflation-protected Treasuries held at a constant five-year duration — the target-duration design keeps the rate risk fixed while the TIPS principal tracks CPI.

Investment Thesis
Most TIPS funds let duration drift with the index; TDTF pins it at five years, so you own inflation protection without accidentally owning a long-bond bet — the flaw that sank TIP holders in 2022. With inflation still running hot and real yields positive, the fund pays 5%+ while its principal ratchets with CPI. It is the engineered version of the inflation hedge: protection sized, duration fixed, surprises minimized.
Who It's For
Inflation-wary bond investors who want CPI protection with the rate risk held constant — TIPS exposure as insurance, not as a duration gamble.
