Investment Thesis

GOVT is the simplest honest answer to 'I want Treasuries': it owns the entire curve at market weights, landing at a moderate ~6-year duration without anyone choosing a maturity view. That makes it the government-only counterpart to AGG — same idea, zero credit risk, slightly lower yield. For investors who hold bonds specifically as equity insurance, removing corporate credit (which sells off with stocks) is a genuine improvement, not a concession.

Who It's For

Portfolio builders who want their bond sleeve to be pure recession insurance, and anyone replacing AGG after noticing its corporate slice correlates with their equities.
