Investment Thesis
BOND is the case that bond markets reward active desks: PIMCO tilts across mortgages, credit and curve positioning in ways an index legally can't, and the fund's 5.3% distribution reflects a book built for income in this rate regime. The flat trailing year mirrors the whole core-bond universe in a selloff — the bet is that PIMCO's positioning wins the recovery. Fee is the toll: 0.54% against 0.03% passives.
Who It's For
Investors who want their entire bond allocation professionally steered rather than index-weighted toward the biggest borrowers. The classic active-versus-Agg decision in one ticker.
