Investment Thesis

Japan's corporate-governance revolution is the real thing: record buybacks, unwinding cross-shareholdings, and the Tokyo exchange publicly shaming companies trading below book value. BBJP captured the re-rating with a +29% year and became the cheap way in — JPMorgan priced it aggressively at 0.19% to win assets from EWJ, and it worked. Yen exposure is unhedged, so a strengthening yen adds to returns while a weakening one subtracts.

Who It's For

Investors expressing a dedicated Japan view — governance reform, reflation, or the end of the deflation-era discount — who want the broad market rather than exporters only, at the lowest headline fee among major Japan funds.
