Investment Thesis

ACWX is the most precise complement to a US equity fund, providing exactly what ACWI provides minus the US component. This makes it the ideal international allocation for investors who already own a US total market fund like VTI or ITOT and want to add global diversification without double-counting US exposure. The IMI methodology captures small-cap international stocks that VXUS-equivalent funds miss, providing more complete coverage of global equity markets outside the United States.

Who It's For

Investors building a two-fund global portfolio using separate US and international allocations who want the international portion to cover both developed and emerging markets in one vehicle. ACWX suits those who prefer a single international fund over managing separate developed (VEA/SCHF) and emerging (VWO/IEMG) positions. The combined developed and emerging approach provides automatic rebalancing between the two as relative market capitalizations shift.
