Investment Thesis

International markets pay the dividends US markets used to: while the S&P yields barely 1%, VYMI's global banks, energy majors and pharma giants pay near 5% — and the fund still returned +30% as international value re-rated. It is VYM's global twin at a fee cut to 0.17%, offering both an income stream and a structural hedge against US-market and dollar concentration in one fund.

Who It's For

Income investors who find US yields too thin, and dividend strategists diversifying beyond the domestic payers everyone owns. Foreign withholding taxes nibble the payout in taxable accounts — the classic home for VYMI is a retirement account.
