Investment Thesis
JEPQ applies the JEPI playbook to the Nasdaq-100, and because tech options carry richer premiums than S&P options, the income is bigger — a yield above 10% recently. The same honest trade-off applies at larger scale: in tech melt-ups the sold calls cap the upside, so its +21.5% year against the Nasdaq-100's stronger run is the strategy paying you cash instead of full capital gains. It has become one of the fastest-growing income funds ever launched.
Who It's For
Income investors who want technology exposure but would rather harvest its volatility than ride it. A natural pairing with JEPI for a two-fund monthly-income core; wrong fund for maximising long-run growth.
