Overview

Just the 50 largest companies in the S&P 500 — the most concentrated mega-cap index fund available, purer even than the S&P 100.

Investment Thesis

XLG is the maximalist expression of the mega-cap thesis: if scale begets scale in the AI economy, own only the fifty biggest and skip the rest. It has beaten the S&P 500 through the entire concentration era — +31% over the trailing year — precisely because it holds more of what's been winning. The same math runs in reverse if breadth ever returns; this is concentration as a conscious choice.

Who It's For

Conviction investors doubling down on mega-cap dominance, and traders wanting maximum large-cap beta in one liquid ticker. Pointless alongside an S&P 500 fund — it's a sharper version of the same bet.
