Investment Thesis
Small caps spent years being left behind by the mega-cap rally, then delivered a +34% year when rate cuts and a broadening economy arrived — the catch-up trade in action. VTWO is the cheapest way to own the standard benchmark: same index as IWM at roughly a third of the fee, which compounds meaningfully for buy-and-hold investors. Small caps carry more debt and more cyclicality; that's the premium and the risk in one sentence.
Who It's For
Long-term investors adding the small-cap segment to a large-cap core at minimum cost, and mean-reversion allocators playing the historic large/small valuation gap. Traders needing options depth still use IWM; holders use VTWO.
