Investment Thesis

VFH reaches deeper than XLF — small regional banks, boutique asset managers and insurers alongside the giants — and includes the payment networks XLF's GICS purism assigns elsewhere. Financials are the market's rate-cycle barometer: net interest margins, deal flow and credit costs all key off the Fed. The sector's +14.3% year lagged the market as rate-cut expectations compressed margins outlooks.

Who It's For

Investors expressing a view on the rate cycle or bank profitability, and value-tilted allocators — financials remain among the cheapest sectors on earnings.
