Investment Thesis

With crude in the $90s, the energy sector is again printing the cash flows that made it the market's dividend machine — and VDE owns the whole complex, adding the mid- and small-cap producers XLE's mega-cap-only roster skips, for a lower fee. The 3.4% yield pays investors to hold what is also the classic inflation and geopolitics hedge inside an equity sleeve.

Who It's For

Income investors harvesting energy's dividends, and allocators re-adding the inflation-hedging sector that ESG-tilted portfolios structurally lack. Cyclical by nature — size accordingly.
