Investment Thesis
Small growth is the market's lottery-ticket corner — historically more volatile and, per the factor literature, the weakest long-run segment. VBK mitigates the worst of it through CRSP's diversified, low-turnover construction and a fee that undercuts active alternatives by an order of magnitude. Its +29.4% year shows what the segment does when risk appetite returns; 2022's -28% showed the reverse.
Who It's For
Aggressive investors who want concentrated exposure to emerging growth companies and understand this is the high-beta end of the equity spectrum. A satellite, never a core.
