Investment Thesis
REM's twin with a lower fee and an even fatter trailing payout: an 18.7% yield that is partly spread income and partly the market pricing in dividend cuts — the honest reading of any yield that high. The bet is identical to REM's: curve steepening restores mREIT book values and makes today's distressed pricing the cycle entry. Double-digit income while waiting, with genuine leverage-driven risk attached to every point of it.
Who It's For
Yield speculators playing the mortgage-spread recovery — an aggressive income position where the yield itself warns of the risk.
