Investment Thesis

ESGV solves the values-versus-returns dilemma pragmatically: exclusionary screens remove the industries most ESG investors object to, while keeping the portfolio broad enough that returns have tracked the total market closely since inception. Because the screens drop energy and defence, it runs a permanent growth-and-tech tilt — a headwind or tailwind depending on the year, and lately a tailwind.

Who It's For

Investors who want their core US holding aligned with exclusion-based ESG preferences at index-fund cost, and who understand the sector tilts that come with the screens.
