Investment Thesis
+59% over twelve months — the best of the commodity funds — because the GSCI's energy weighting met $100 crude head-on, and the dynamic roll methodology minimized the futures-curve bleed along the way. COMT is the aggressive end of the commodity-sleeve choices: more energy torque than the Bloomberg-index funds, same 1099 simplicity, with collateral now earning 5% on top. When energy leads inflation, this is the hedge that keeps up.
Who It's For
Inflation hedgers who want the energy-weighted version of broad commodities — maximum oil-shock protection in a diversified wrapper.
