Investment Thesis
Buffer funds are the fastest-growing category in ETFs because they sell exactly what nervous investors want: stay in stocks, skip the first 10% of any crash, give up some upside via caps. BUFR's ladder of twelve monthly vintages smooths the cap-reset lottery of owning a single buffer fund, making it the set-and-forget version of the strategy. The 0.95% fee and capped upside are the price of sleeping well.
Who It's For
Near-retirees and the crash-scarred who would otherwise sit in cash — equity exposure with training wheels. Accept that in melt-up years the caps will make you the party's designated driver.
